🛡️ NYCIF Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

By participating in any event organized by NYC International Futbol, Inc. (NYCIF), including but not limited to pickup sessions, tournaments, league matches, training sessions, and tryouts, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand and acknowledge that participation in soccer — like any sport — involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Sprains, strains, and muscle injuries

  • Collisions with other players

  • Falls, slips, or impacts

  • Being struck by the ball

  • Weather‑related conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind)

  • Uneven field surfaces

  • Accidental contact or physical play

  • Serious injury, including concussion or fractures

I voluntarily choose to participate with full knowledge of these risks and accept full responsibility for my participation.

2. Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, and discharge:

  • NYC International Futbol, Inc.

  • Its owners, organizers, directors, staff, coaches, volunteers, and representatives

  • Any field owners, facility operators, or NYC Parks personnel

from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to:

  • Injury

  • Illness

  • Accidents

  • Property damage

  • Loss of personal belongings

  • Any other harm that may occur during participation

whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Responsibility for Personal Health

I confirm that:

  • I am physically able to participate in soccer activities

  • I have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation

  • I am solely responsible for monitoring my physical condition during play

  • I will stop playing if I feel unwell, dizzy, or injured

I understand that NYCIF staff are not medical professionals and cannot diagnose or treat injuries.

4. Compliance With Rules & Staff Instructions

I agree to follow:

  • All NYCIF rules and policies

  • All safety guidelines

  • All instructions given by NYCIF staff

I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the session or suspension from future events.

5. Weather, Field, and Environmental Conditions

I acknowledge that:

  • Outdoor soccer involves unpredictable weather

  • Field conditions may vary

  • Surfaces may be wet, uneven, or slippery

  • Equipment may shift or move during play

I accept these conditions as part of participation.

6. Personal Belongings

I understand that NYCIF is not responsible for:

  • Lost items

  • Stolen items

  • Damaged personal property

I am responsible for securing my own belongings.

7. Photography & Media

I grant NYCIF permission to:

  • Photograph or record sessions

  • Use images or videos for promotional purposes

  • Share content on social media or the NYCIF website

If I do not wish to appear in media, I will notify staff before the session.

8. Medical Treatment Authorization

In the event of an injury:

  • I authorize NYCIF staff to call emergency services if necessary

  • I accept full financial responsibility for any medical treatment or transport

  • I understand that NYCIF does not provide medical insurance

9. Voluntary Participation

I confirm that:

  • My participation is voluntary

  • I am not under pressure or obligation

  • I may withdraw at any time

I fully understand this waiver and agree to its terms.

By registering for any NYCIF event, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to this Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk.
