NYCIF RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect the Game. Respect Each Other. Respect the Community.
NYC International Futbol, Inc. is built on professionalism, structure, and respect.
To maintain a safe, enjoyable, and competitive environment for all players, we follow a clear set of rules and expectations at every session, tournament, and league event.
These standards protect the integrity of the game and ensure that every player — regardless of background or skill level — feels welcome and respected.
⭐ 1. Safety Rules
No Slide Tackles - Slide tackles are strictly prohibited in all NYCIF sessions and competitions. This rule protects players from unnecessary injuries.
No Dangerous Play - High kicks, reckless challenges, and aggressive physical contact are not allowed.
No Hard Fouls or Retaliation - If a foul occurs, play stops. Retaliation of any kind is not tolerated.
Injuries Must Be Reported - If you are injured or see someone injured, notify staff immediately.
⭐ 2. Respect & Behavior
Respect All Players - NYCIF is a multicultural community. Discrimination, insults, or disrespectful behavior are not tolerated.
Respect Staff Decisions - Staff manage the session, rotations, and rules. Their decisions are final.
No Arguing or Confrontations - Verbal or physical confrontations result in removal from the session and possible suspension.
Positive Attitude - We encourage competitive spirit, but negativity, complaining, or toxic behavior is not part of NYCIF.
⭐ 3. Game Format Rules
Follow the Rotation System - Games are timed. Staff control the whistle. Teams rotate according to the session format.
Stay With Your Assigned Team Color - Do not switch teams unless instructed by staff.
Arrive On Time - Late arrivals disrupt team balance and session flow.
Play the Ball, Not the Player - Clean, controlled football is expected at all times.
⭐ 4. Registration & Attendance
You Must Register Through OpenSports - No walk‑ons. No exceptions. This ensures fairness and accurate team assignments.
No Sharing Spots - Your registration is for you only. You cannot give your spot to another player.
Refund & Cancellation Policy - Cancellations must follow the OpenSports event policy. Late cancellations or no‑shows may affect your ability to register in the future.
⭐ 5. Community Standards
Inclusive Environment - NYCIF welcomes players from every culture, background, and skill level.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment - Any form of harassment — verbal, physical, or online — results in immediate removal.
Respect the Field & Equipment - We use official NYC Parks fields. Treat them with care.
Help Keep the Space Clean - Dispose of bottles, trash, and personal items properly.
